Barcelona Centre for International Health Research (CRESIB)
The CRESIB is a research centre developed by a group of first-rate academic and biomedical research institutions in Barcelona. It was established in 2006 by the Autonomous Government of Catalonia, the University of Barcelona (UB), Hospital Clínic de Barcelona (HCB) and the August Pi i Sunyer Biomedical Research Institute (IDIBAPS). Since May 2010, the CRESIB has formed part of the Barcelona Global Health Institute (ISGLOBAL).
As set forth in its strategic plan, the CRESIB’s mission is to improve global health through research and training.
Research is organized within a matrix of interrelated areas and programs with the aim of dynamically and efficiently generating and sharing knowledge in real time.
