Hospital Sant Joan de Déu
Hospital Sant Joan de Déu is a privately owned, publically funded institution providing community healthcare. It was founded by the Orde Hospitalari Sant Joan de Déu.
Healthcare: The hospital is a leader in healthcare and in improving children's health, with a special focus on prenatal care. It is also a highly specialized and excellently technically equipped facility serving women, children and adolescents.

Teaching: The hospital is responsible for specialized resident training in pediatrics (MIR program). It has an active framework agreement with the University of Barcelona to teach the pediatrics portion of the curriculum defined by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Dentistry, and offers courses in obstetrics as well as other undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing education courses in medicine and nursing.
